You NE haters are just jealous. Despite NE losing the SB, they are still the best team, bar none. And as far as them cheating, you are stupid and naive if you think that all the NFL teams don't do exactly the same thing.

Oh, MAN(ning!)! BB, the Pats definitely weren't the best team tonight, and isn't that what counts? I think you're just sick of losing to a quarterback with "Manning" on the back of his jersey! Great post- great game! Yay, Giants!!!!

No, the Giants beat the Patriots. The Patriots didn't even choke...they just got beat by a team that clearly peaked at the right time. Ha ha ha. SUCK IT!

You are naive to think that all prior Super Bowl teams got away with taping the opposing teams' final practice.

every one of you homo patriots' fans, one question:

who was the best football team in the NFL this season?

not your boys.

And to quote a previous statement, and alter it for accuracy:

"Best.Team.Ever.[My.Ass.]"

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hope you get a good night's sleep, I know I will.

Go to bed New England. The only thing you are the best at is being a bad sport!!

Belicheat left the field without shaking hands (before the game was over) as did that DICK Tom Brady.

You got what you deserved. I'm glad my daughter got to see cheaters lose!

Your coach abandons you with :01 left on the clock? Pathetic. Truly pathetic. Not even the best team in the NFL this season, let alone ever. Face it Patroitoids, all flash no cash. The football gods delivered and we're all Giants fans tonight. The Pack is my team, but I think I'm even happier that the Giants won, what a great story... they deserved it the most. Congrats Giants fans - Best Superbowl Ever!

You are an idiot. They barely squeaked by the Giants the first time, lost this time, and would have been blown out by the Chargers if they weren't a MASH unit. This is after nearly stumbling to the mighty Eagles and Ravens. You and your team win with no class and lose with less, and this is one of my favorite sports moments ever. My 18-1 T-shirt is in the mail.

This was like a second Christmas for me. Loved every minute. And before a Pats fan say "Well, we are still the best ever and we still went 18-1" I think the 84 Niners and the 85 Bears might have something to say. You never achieved greatness, you only tied it.

NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER!

Where the fuck is that idiot now. It was one of the sweetest sports moments in a long time, after the months of crap spewed every day by the NE fans, and the unbearably self-righteous attitude coming from the whole NE team. God, I could not watch at the end as I just knew there was going to be a penalty on the deep ball to Moss or somewhere on that last NY drive, but it was like the ref's got a call from the commish at the last moment to not cash their checks from Mr. Kraft.

Seeing Belichek scurry off the field like some cockroach - WHILE HIS TEAM WAS STILL ON THE FIELD!!! - was just the icing on the cake. Just too sweet to see the Belicheck post-game mumbling "interview" also - what an asshole.

Chipdawg, owned.

Your team not only lost, but may end up being investigated like some rotten university team. We can only hope that everything comes out and the Pats end up getting asterisks on ALL of the titles...or have them stripped completely.

Coach B's behavior at the end of the game is inexcusable. What a no class, cry baby move from a truly miserable excuse for a coach. I hope Spygate 2--i.e. Rams-Patriots--gets the fair investigation it deserves. It's time to clean up sports, if baseball has to answer for its past problems, I see nothing wrong with examining allegations in football. See you next year.

Guys:
i want to tell you a story about tonight...
I live in Upstate Ny and I watched the game at a bar with about 6 or 7 New England Pats fans. When the Giants won, of course the Giants fans celebrated. A couple of the Patriots fans started yelling and screaming about"We are still the best we went 18-0...18-0..!!!". They behaved horribly.
I am a lifelong steeler fan(I'm a giant lover tonight though lol) and when the steelers lost years ago to the cowboys in the Super Bowl. I congratulated the Cowboys fans around me as they celebrated. Its called good sportmanship. Unfortunately, way too many Pats fans take after that sorry excuse for a human being(much less coach) Bill Belicheat and his partner in slime Tom Brady.
You learn about the character of people when they suffer a setback. My experience with the pats fans tonight( matthew from above being the exception) has taught me quite a lot.

HOW ABOUT THEM NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS??????

First of all, Matthew, thank you for your congrats, that was incredibly gracious of you. Please also know that my following comments are NOT meant for you. There are PLENTY of Pats* fans who come to this board who talk shit nonstop, and, might I add, quite unintelligently.

ChipDawg- you 36 year old tool:
How about your piece of shit coach who can't even STAY ON THE FIELD to congratulate the other team? Perhaps Randy Moss taught him how to leave a game while the play clock is still going.

For your claim of NO PRISONERS, NO SURRENDER..... well, your silence on this board tonight, speaks volumes.

I truly don't dislike all fans, but you honestly, along with some others who appeared on this board, are the reason why people think your team, its ownership, and its fans are a piece of shit.

Again, Matthew, that was not meant for you.

BTW Pats* fans:- how do you like David Tyree now?

I am so fucking ecstatic, our team brought integrity back to the NFL.

GO GIANTS!!!!

I have never rooted against a team this much. And I'm a Bengals fan, so my hatred for the Steelers is unmatched.

After seeing the Pats barely scrape by Baltimore and Philadelphia, and shamelessly run the score up on Washington, I now know that there is a God, and he is just. They cheated their way to a super bowl, and lost it. To a manning quarterback.

Chip Dawg will comment all he want when he's done crying into his pillow.

Un-frickin'believable.

I hate the Giants. But I was rooting for them tonight like there was no tomorrow. And for those low-life, classless, arrogant, cheating, lucky as sin, dirty New England Patriots, there is only a tomorrow of dismay. The most abject failure I've ever witnessed in sports. The surest thing gone to rot.

18-1! 18-1! 18-1! My fingers can't type it enough.

The most imperfect season ever, and the ignominy belongs to YOUR NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS.

Helllllllllllls yeah.

10:48 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

This was SO sweet! I could not have dreamed up a better scenario, to have the classless cheaters come SO close to their undeserved 19-0, only to have it torn away from them in the most excruciating way possible.

Thus ends the talk of the dandy Brady as the best QB ever. Montana never lost a super bowl, thank you! And Joe didn't wilt anytime a team got pressure on him.

Thus ends the talk of Billy as the best coach ever. Even putting aside the cheating and his astonishing lack of class, he lost a super bowl, and his team choked with immortality on the line.

In Nelson voice: haha!

I have no voice left from screaming, but I don't care! I have been ridiculed, spitted upon, and told to "go to hell" all for wearing my Giants jacket, hats, shirts, etc. for these past two weeks. Living in New England and not having "drank the Koolaid" of Bill Belichick makes me a little rebellious, and some people take that a little too seriously around here. I even had a Giants balloon hanging from my lamppost all day yesterday, with passersby just shaking their heads at me. I don't care... I grew up a Giants fan here in New England. These people have been MORE THAN NASTY to me for the past two weeks, so everywhere I go now, I will be rubbing their faces in it. My daughter is in middle school and shall be wearing her Eli jersey. She can always say "you know, Eli Manning.. MVP of the Super Bowl!" Now when we go to training camp in July, we are going to the camp of the Super Bowl Champs! I'm so proud of them!

Another thing that was funny, the Boston local stations had all this time available for post game interviews, etc. Well, the commentators were standing around in Phoenix with nobody to talk to, since their team left before the game was over! They just stood there, shocked, on the air, with nobody to talk to and nothing to say!

I do thank Matthew, above, for a classy remark. You have to give the Giants their due... they outplayed his team, and he acknowledged that.

In my opinion, the Patriots didn't deserve their perfect season. They also didn't play for it.

Oh yeah, I guess the mayor of Boston doesn't have to go ahead with that victory parade he planned last week. Another thing, remember the "bad karma" from dumping Sean Taylor's number on their helmets many weeks ago? Well, Sean Taylor was an NFC player!!!!!

Nothing can take away the 16-0 regular season or the 18-0. The giants may have "won" in terms of the score, but at the end of the day, the Pats are the People's Champion.

They rose above adversity and doubt all year long and did what no team had ever done before. That's the real winner in my book.

I've come, just like I said I would, to have a slice of crow please. So SRD, you fraud we haven't heard from in weeks, here I am!! Come get some!!

The Giants played an outstanding game from what I was told. I missed nearly the entire second half because of work and used my cell phone to watch the horrible stats as they unfolded in the 4th quarter. It was definitely a painful loss, and honestly I had a bad feeling about the game all week long. Probably the worst in Pats history other than the 46-10 shellacking in '86. It is what it is.
Congrats Maureen and Giants Fan. Your team did an outstanding job. I think Eli's star is definitely on the rise, as is the Giant Defense. The Giant D won the battle at the line of scrimmage just like the Miami Dolphins D did last year.

The Patriots will regroup and reload. I don't care what anyone says. It was an amazing season and we were 35 seconds from doing what no one else had ever done before.

Actually, don't count the Bears out yet. I think they still have a chance to win this Superbowl.

All kidding aside, as a neutral fan who couldn't decide whether to root for or against the Patriots, I found this to be one of the better Superbowls I've seen recently. Even at the half I said to my girlfriend that it was as exciting a 7-3 Superbowl as you could get.

Congrats to the Giants.

To New England fans: it hurts, don't it? But you went 16-0 in the regular season, and that is a first. You're still in elite company, if in a somewhat contorted way.

Personally, I'm glad I will not have to hear about it for the rest of my life; the Dolphins crowd, perennial bad sports that they are, will not outlive me.

I'm so proud of my Giants! The fact that this was a huge upset, the fact that the entire world didn't give them a snowballs chance in hell makes it all that much sweeter.

And they way they won it, by pure physical play. Nothing flashing, just tough, blue-collar gutsy smash mouth football. Giants football, traditional powerful defense, that's Giants ball.

I'm happy as a clam today! Euphoria!

And to all you Pats fans out there, I know this stings, but you will still be recognized as the team of this decade.

Great Job 2 brothers with Back to Back Super Bowls who would have thought that would happen.

all I can say is WOW...

I still like the Patriots and the Giants beat my other Team the Cowboys. Wow... maybe next year they will both play better and not assume they are going to win. I assumed they would realise they could loose the game and therefore come out and play but the Patriots let me down.

Great Job to Eli Manning somehow I thought he would never win one. I thought his brother was much better then him but here he is Super Bowl Champs and the Patriots couldn't even score 17...

How depressed I am ....

Thank God for the Giants' victory! Now we don't have to hear about Belicreep, Tom Brady, and the 2007 Patriots as the "bestest team ever" nonsense for the rest of our fricking lives! Instead the 2007 Pats will go down as chokers! Remembered, if at all, as another version of the 1968 Colts or the 2001 Rams. You don't win the championship then you aren't the best team of that season let alone of all time. I hope this loss sticks in the craws of the Patriots and their obnoxious fans for a very looooong time! Cheaters' deserts!

Belichick is jackass. He has always been a jackass. He was a jackass with the Giants- it is said that on his orders Giants' defenders faked injuries in order to slow down and disrupt the Buffalo Bills' high--powered, no-huddle offense during the 1990 Superbowl. He certainly was a jackass with the Browns. During his disasterous tenure in Cleveland he succeeded in alienating virtually all of the Cleveland media and a sizeable percentage of the fan base and paved the way for Art Modell to think he was unwanted in Cleveland. If the Browns had not hired Evil Bill, who created a poisonous atmosphere around the team, then I don't think the Browns would have moved. And he is still a jackass with New England- walking off the field with time still on the clock and mumbles (which was his nickname in Cleveland)through a 3 minute press conference. Classless jackass!

SRD,
I'll say this: "You are a donkey." The Giants weren't the best team in the 2007-2008 season. Not to take anything away from them being Superbowl Champions, but they were not the best all season long. Not even close. They simply got hot at the right time. My evidence for this is simply their record, which was 14 and 6. Heck, almost all of their losses were at home. The Patriot record has 18-1. Head to head the two teams were tied at 1 game a piece. It would be real nice if the two teams had a rubber match, but that's not how it works. Perhaps the schedule-makers will provide one next year and we shall see...

That shows a level of sportsmanship that I am sorry to say your team does not share. To those who want to call them "the people's champion," however, is just delusional. You should at least be able to see why so many don't hate the Pats and actively rooted against them. To me, they represent the worst of the league and their behavior in the face of a loss was just embarrassing and disgrace to the fans who were so loyal. For that, you truly have my sympathies. As far as the score, karma won! Congrats to the Giants, their fans and especially Eli Manning.

The burning smell of your dreams of perfection bring a smile to my face. May the Patriots and their many fans taste the bitterness of defeat for eternity. May the numbers 18-1 burn into the hearts of the Patriots and their foolish fans forever. You Patriots thought you were the greatest NFL team of all time, but you were sadly mistaken. All this time your weaknesses were clear. Put pressure on your golden boy Brady and he and your offense are just average. Your aging Patriots defense was waiting to be dismantled and steam rolled. Pats Fan,

I must say that being a Giants fan and living in New England hasn't been easy for the past two weeks. I've had Patriots fans spitting at me, telling me what a loser I was, etc. So, getting this win is sweet for many reasons. Of course, I'm so happy for the Giants and their organization, that goes without saying. So, yes, I continue to wear my Giants stuff, buy the Super Bowl Champs stuff, and be thrilled with the victory, because I've been through the crappy years with the Giants too.

My husband is a Patriots fan and he said "it's such a hard loss to swallow" and I understand that. But I told him that was how the Rams, Panthers and Eagles and their fan bases felt after losing by three points as well. Somebody has to lose and this time it was the Patriots. This was a perfect ending for my season, and I intend to enjoy it. If the tables were turned, I wouldn't expect any Patriots fans to tiptoe around Giants fans either.

Pats Fan,

You are aware that signing your comments "Pats Fan" is effectively anonymous itself, right?

Man up, PF. Your team lost, and you and your fellow Pats Fans were an obnoxious, grating bunch of smug Massholes all season long. If you can't handle the swarming, gleeful revenge of Patriots haters, then you shouldn't set yourself up for it by building your straw tower so high.

I actually liked the Patriots once. But after this season, with their Spygate scandal, the shameless stat-padding against Washington, not wearing Sean's number, and the insufferable, suffocating arrogance of Boston's trashy fans all around me, I just had to hate.

And it is cathartic. My '85 Bears went 18-1 too, and they were the defending champions the next season. Who's got the greatest team evah now?

could it be better than it actually was? no way....
suck it, Patriotwusses, you should have lost to the Eagles and the Ravens and the Giants in the regular season, but you won, with the refs' help, but you lost the ONLY game that mattered...best team ever my ass!
go Giants!

No, you stupid idiot, calling myself Pats Fan at least gives myself a moniker you all can refer to me as.

You're all seriously saying stuff that has nothing to do with what I said. Typical morons.

I congratulated the other fricking team! I think they goddamn deserved it, by the way our team was so beaten up and played very poorly.

Idiot haters who keep calling me a bad loser......please use your eyes and read. I am being more gracious than you low-lifes deserve.

And honestly, you can even ask Giantsfan- who else was on this site that hated the Pats when they were still undefeated? Now that they have a loss on the 0 side of the stat, you all crawl back on here and act like you're worth something to bitch about....

It all just shows how you were so jealous and pathetic little losers, and now that the team you devote your life to hating slips up, you think you're the shit....

Jesus Christ.

Pats fan:

You really need to change your ID to
"Stranger to Irony."

You'll probably have to ask somebody else what that means. You know, because you are so "gracious" and "smart."

You should change your ID to "Embarrassment to Haters Everywhere". How about this: I've met PATS FANS smarter than you.

Nice insult. Too bad it didn't work.

And finally to show that I harbor no ill feelings to the Giants, hats off to them. Eli and his boys deserved the win. We Bostonians have gotten over it, and are waiting for our next amazing sports year.

But when the G-men go 18-0 (or 19-0), break more than five NFL records, and miraculously turn into the team of the decade, then they'll be as good as the Patriots.

See ya next year- wonder how many blowouts our new young linebackers will wanna inflict?

Pats Fan, you are being gracious in giving the Giants props. I think you are moving on quite well. There are people at work that still haven't come in because of their "devastation" over losing the Super Bowl. I mean, cmon, it's Wednesday, and most of the Patriots are in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl having a great time! These people need to get over it.

I wouldn't expect Pats Fan, or any of the Patriots fans to turn their back on their team. There are some issues being brought up regarding play calling, coaching, sportsmanship, and now the spygate scandal, that the team has to deal with in the off season. Even the Boston radio stations are not real happy with Belichick and his demeanor after the game, but his demeanor when he wins isn't good either.

In any case, my 20 yr old son is also a Giants fan like me, living in New England. He feels bad wearing the Super Bowl t-shirts and hats because the Patriots fans are devastated. I don't feel like any legitimate Giants fans have to apologize for winning the super bowl, simply because it was New England that was on the short end of the score, and that's where we happen to live. There are tons of Giants fans in New England, and, let's face it, if it were reversed, we would have to swallow all the New England victory crap.

Sigh.
It did, sweetie. It did. You just don't get it and apparently never will.

"I've met PATS FANS smarter than you."

Not yet. But I'm waiting. It would bring me joy and hope.

By the way, how magnanimous of you to concede the win to the Giants. I do have to say that your level of devotion to the team says something about you. It's almost cute. How old are you?

The point that you have and continue to miss is the idea why others would actively root against the Patriots. Surely, even you can maybe, possibly see why they might? You don't have to agree with it, but good God, have some perspective. (Let me guess, you think George Bush is GREAT president?)
As for the band-wagoning--some people don't check this site everyday (they have busy lives) or else they don't have enough energy for a battle of wits with an unarmed man. Lot's of people dislike the Patriots and have for such a long time--just because they may have found the site later than some doesn't negate their reasons for disliking them.
Go on defending them (although I gotta suspect an alarming level of masochism on your part for frequenting this site).
Until the Pats act with any kind of decency or sportsmanship, I'll continue to dislike them despite whatever the numbers say.

I agree with you Giantsfan. I'll admit, it took me awhile to get over the crushing loss, but hey, we did some awesome tings this season. We're the fricking team of the decade. We won three superbowls over four years. We were the first team to go 18-0. And no one will ever forget it.

Please stop embarrassing yourself. It's pathetic. And if you have any sense, please also realize I'm a Bostonian- George Bush and I don't really mesh.

Most pats fans I've seen are indeed smarter than you are. Not that you'd know, considering you justify your accusations with no factual evidence and choose to generalize.

I'm obviously a lot older than you are. But a good majority of the population consists of people older than fifth grade girls.

Giants are the best team and everyone who watches the sport knows it. Records only do matter during the SEASON, post-season everything changes. You may be the best in the season but not the best in the NFL. The '72 dolphins are the truly best team because they won every game including the Super bowl, the one game that matters.

I have one last thing to say:
GIANTS RULE

The Giants just out right beat and beat up the Patriots, it was the arrogance of Bill Bellidick to go for it on 4th and 13. This is the sweetest victory of them all. i have seen all 3 giants super bowl wins but this one. Beating the "dynasty" (I thought you needed four to be a dynasty?)

The pats will struggle into obscurity again, as they are old and will be picked apart by free agency.
Gone will be the days of Brady to Moss and back will be the days of Grogan to ?

No other fans deserve this lesson more than the NEP fans when they lose you cant talk sports with them and when they win you cant get a word in edge wise… so they can all suck a crying towel…
This was it, it was their last shot for a long time. The arrogance of the Pats to bring Junior Seau out of retirement to give him a gift of the super bowl…ahahahhahahaha made it that much more pleasurable to see him crying on the sidelines.

How sweet to watch the Mighty Giants just man handle and abuse the Patriots.

There is a god andhe wears Giant blue!

This game was proof that God exists. I am a Colts fan, and all I could say for an hour after that game was "Oh. My. God."

I could've kissed Eli for not snapping under pressure. But he's got a fiance, so maybe that's not such a good idea XD

But their undefeated season is OVER. It's over!! Thank God for the Giants. They took the supposedly best team in the NFL and made them look pathetic.

Patriots dynasty? News flash: There is only one dynasty in the NFL, and that is the Mannings. First Peyton led his team to knock off the Patriots, and he took them to the Super Bowl and defeated the Bears easily. He got a Super Bowl ring that I've been waiting a long time to see him earn, AND he was the MVP for the game. This year? Eli leads his team to knock off some of the best teams in the NFL- first the Cowboys, then the Packers, then the Cheatriots. Now THAT'S a dynasty. Looks like Tommy has a little trouble getting past the Mannings lol...

Congrats to the Giants. If I had to pick a team to win the SB besides the Colts, it would've been them. And I think I speak for everyone (except for lame ass Patriot fans) when I say that no matter what team we love, we were all Giants fans when we saw them beat the Pats.

Oh, and I forgot to mention something else- Eli was the MVP for the SB this year. Yeah... there's no Patriots dynasty. Just the Mannings dynasty.

Is this web site for grammar school children ? Anyway, definetly for haters I see. As far as the NY Giants, they are a agressive and abusive team who take great joy in smashing teams that they play. They are a disgrace to NFL playing.
It makes me sick to watch them play. And to say u HATE a football team is sad and u need psychiatric care. Grow up
